Five Digital Camera Features You Can’t Live Without
Author: adminIf you’ve been taking pictures with your digital camera, you’ve probably learned its important features. Whether you are using a point-and-shoot or a Single Lens Reflex (SLR) camera, these five features are essential:
1. Mode Dial
For the SLR camera, this mode allows you to shoot pictures manually or automatically. If you want full control of the exposure, you can adjust the aperture, shutter speed or ISO. Also, if you prefer, the camera can automatically set the exposure by selecting the Auto mode. Taking pictures of different scenes are easy with a Scene Selection mode. For instance, if you want to take pictures at night, you can just select the night scene.
2. Lenses
A SLR camera has a detachable lens for total control of picture taking. The telephoto lens is important for nature photographer as are the close-up and wide-angle lenses. If you are using a high end point-and-shoot camera with fixed lenses, you still can attach an additional lens”teleconverter, wide-angle or close-up lens.
3. Flash and External Flash
A flash is important if you want to take night scenes or the subject is underexposed or when natural light is insufficient.
4. LCD Screen
This feature is great to frame your picture before shooting. You can determine what to include or not. You can also review the photos taken and delete the unwanted ones to make more room in your memory or flash card.
5. Timer or Remote Control
A timer is important for taking pictures of a night scene or a waterfall when a low shutter speed is needed. With the camera set on a tripod, you can use a timer to avoid vibration. A timer is also handy when you want to be in the picture.
All five features are important to help you take great pictures.
